Bill Martin's Nurseryland

Bill Martin's Nurseryland has served Thunder Bay since 1927 from a downtown garden centre at 265 Court Street South, now in its third generation of the Martin family. The garden centre sells tropical plants, flowers, shrubs and trees suited to the climate, along with seeds, soils and fertilizers, and a gift shop and Christmasland are part of the business. Its landscaping work serves residential and commercial customers with hardscapes in natural rock and flagstone, softscapes with trees, shrubs, perennials, design implementation, topsoil and sodding, and equipment services using a dump truck, front-end loader and skidsteer. Lawn care covers grass cutting, fertilizing, aerating, pruning and parking lot sweeping, snow removal includes plowing, sanding and salting, and a commercial planter service has adorned Thunder Bay streets for years.
